As participating chapters in our Firearm Locks and Safes Distribution Project, you will have access to the following resources to help your chapter succeed and meet its distribution goals. Our roadmap for the 2025 Firearm Safes and Locks Project outlines the steps to procure and distribute the safes and locks to healthcare providers and directly to firearm owners. Check out this guide to learn more about SAFE’s procurement and distribution expectations.

Template letters are available for use when contacting 1) your university’s development office for additional funding and support; and 2) local organizations that can donate firearm safes and locks for your chapter’s distribution events.

For research and data collection purposes, SAFE chapters are expected to take steps to measure the amount of locks and safes procured and record survey responses post-distribution.
