Milwaukee Firearm Injury Prevention & Care Curriculum Workshop

SAFE was happy to host 22 individuals from ten different medical schools/institutions at this fall workshop. Workshop attendees were primarily from the Midwest, and heard from various stakeholders such as community violence interruption workers, suicide prevention researchers and individuals impacted by firearm violence. We actively engaged with medical students and firearm violence survivors to understand perspectives and perceived educational needs in firearm injury prevention and care (FIPC) education.
